A Surprise Engagement

It didn’t take long for Danae & Kailey to find their perfect home for themselves and their dog, Cowboy. A perfect sized, completely renovated home in Rancho Del Oro in Oceanside. They beat out multiple offers and had a smooth transaction and closing.

To celebrate their new home, they decided to have a big housewarming party for all their family and friends. They had friends BBQing, the neighborhood was filed with cars, and the backyard was filed with music, talking and laughter - and a big secret! Everyone at the party knew that it was Kailey’s plan to propose to Danae, except, of course, for Danae!

A couple of hours into the party, Kailey put her plan into motion. She put a special dog tag on Cowboy’s collar, that said, “Mom, will you marry my other mom?” and let him loose. Danae caught him, and while she was distracted, the entire crowd gathered round, phones drawn, while Kailey got down on one knee and proposed! (Of course Danae accepted, and the couple is getting married in September!)
